Masterclass Weekend

This year we are running a series of masterclasses for our grade 6 examination students and our vocational students. The first of these Masterclass weekends will take place on Saturday and Sunday the 3rd and 4th of November 2018. We are delighted that Sarah Joy Dickinson examiner and tutor for the Royal Academy of Dance has accepted our invitation to be our guest teacher. Over the past 30 year’s Sarah has worked in a number of full time Vocational colleges; preparing students globally for a professional career, either in a ballet company, the commercial world of dance or as a dance teacher. She currently teaches at Elmhurst Ballet School in Birmingham and Northern Ballet School in Manchester where part of her responsibilities include delivering the Trinity Qualification in Professional Dance, a Choreography collaboration with Royal Northern College of Music, and preparation of students for International Ballet Competitions. Sarah has been an Examiner and Tutor for the Royal Academy of Dance since 1995 and became a Trustee in 2011. In these roles she has travelled extensively on their behalf, adjudicating, conducting teachers and students courses and lecturing at Summer Schools. Details to follow. Read More
